Neat pic of inside chicken's mouth

I was going to e-mail this picture to someone asking if my sick pullet had any sores in her mouth...she didn't, but I thought it was a neat pic and wanted to share - oh, all that yellow gunk at the edges of her beak is from the slurry I've been hand feeding her:

I've been hand-feeding this pullet for 7 weeks now, so she's used to me fiddling with her mouth, otherwise, I doubt I'd have been able to get the pic!  smile

So, is the "slot" described for pithing the one all the way at the back? (for those who have processed)

Great pic!  I always wondered but have not looked yet wink

Have had chickens for a whole six years now!  This year decided to try out ducks too!  WOW messy they are, but totally worth it, their cuteness overpowers all the messes they can make :D  Check them out at:  autumnbreezechickens.blogspot.com

So that's what's down there!!!   I always thought I'd see one big giant treat disposal barrel.

Thanks so much for posting that.

I was just wondering what percentage of the population would be excited about clicking on at thread that shows the inside of a chicken't mouth?  I think we might be in the minority.
