Here are pictures of a young Jade that I took at Taylor Hill Game Farm.

.... almost totally barred wings .... that's a IB jade .

number 85 on this list : http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/727805/united-peafowl-associations-peafowl-color-variety-list

If we cross this one with a pure Green peahen .... then and only then  we will have a spalding Jade .

I know this thread is long done and over with. But for what it is worth, Brad Legg got the original "Jades" from my family. They were spalding from the get-go. If I find the old photos I have of the original trio I'll scan them and post them. The old man we bought them from was selling them as Cameos, but I knew they weren't which is why I approached Brad at the auction. I had intended on calling them "Olives" as I felt it was more descriptive of the dusky green shade their necks had.

breeder of Polish (pretty much my entire life), American Gamefowl (10 years) and bantam Cubalayas (a few years)...also an artist, check out some of my chicken-related merchandise! www.cafepress.com/hoffmanart

I'll be going back home this coming weekend, so hopefully I'll have time to find my old photo albums

Here's the best two pictures I could find. Both show spaldings that came from the same breeder. The pied hen came from the same farmer as well. He lived near Wahoo, NE.
