Long story short, Broody hen couldn't be trusted with her 5 remaining eggs on day 18, brought those eggs in and added them to the dozen eggs on day 16 in my incubator, candled, all alive and air cells looking good...
Up this morning to turn the dozen eggs (day 17) and heard a chirp from broody eggs... just went and checked and one of the broody eggs has piped!

My test:
humidity in the room is 62% all vent plugs out and temperature stable at 101.5 I don't want to add any water to get the humidity up to high and risk the other 12 viable eggs to save these 5, rather I am going with my instincts and allowing the hatching chicks to create enough humidity for the other hatches. I believe (right or wrong) in my area I have sufficient humidity to not allow the chicks to dry out in the shell..
I should have went with my gut earlier before the pip and candled my 12 eggs and positioned them into hatch position, to late now as I don't want to lose humidity with the time it will take to candle each egg, if chick hatches this evening and no other eggs have piped I will take that opportunity to candle and position 12 eggs.

Will update as time goes on... I think its going to be a long few days

All was well yesterday when I ran to town for errands, when I came home she had an egg out of the nest, I thought they were starting to hatch but I was wrong, it was a fully formed chick still in the shell with a yolk sack that had been mostly absorbed and a lot of blood.. I believe she killed it, maybe got confused when it started moving?? I dunno. I didn't want to chance the remaining five...

Not her fault, she is young, 6 months.. I shouldn't have allowed her to go broody...poor girl is in the broody breakup cage...

And yes, I'll keep this thread updated as things progress... I hope this will help others who find themselves in the same predicament

Ah, good ol Bend... Been there a time or two... You guys are pretty dry there right?? We see the clouds you guys get and on occasion can hear the thunder and see the lightning... Although the last couple days we have gotten our fair share, crazy weather, 102 on Monday and 72 yesterday... Welcome to Oregon lol

4th broody egg has piped with the 5th one rocking, figure it should pip anytime... Hope Hope Hope they all hatch tonight/tomorrow morning so I can position the other 12 eggs where they need to be (day 18 tomorrow for them)... don't dare open the bator now and suck humidity from it....
