Okay fellow BYC'ers... I have a favor to ask of you.  I am cleaning out my freezer to make room for a "camper" and I was hoping you all might have some recipes for the excess turkey that is STILL in my freezer!!  I will thank you in advanced a million times!!

I'm a SAHM happily married to the man of my dreams with two DD (another due 7/2013), 1 cat, 3 Marans, 1 BSL rooster (NoName), 1 Misc. Rooster (Tyrone); 5 Ducks (Cadbury and his girls), 2 misc. young chicks, 12 pullets, etc.

~John 4:16  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

If it is cooked turkey,

  • turkey soup
  • turkey with gravy over rice or potatoes
  • turkey salad sandwiches

Good Morning Everyone!!

hugs.gif THANK YOU SO MUCH for your turkey ideas!!  RF - I am going to have to find a way to make that dairy-free because it just sounds GOOD!!  Moore - I cannot believe I didn't think of substituting turkey for chicken salad!!  What a great idea....see I knew my BYC'ers would come through for me!!  HT - You have inspired me...I have NEVER made dumplings before, so now I just might have to try!!  Maybe I will take wild's idea and add some dumplings to it, just in case I fail at dumplings...I hear they can be hard to make!!

Today is my baking day!!  Made a huge pot roast last night with a home-made cherry pie - DH's favorite pie!!  I abhor making pie because I always fail at the crust.  he.gif  Give me a cake or cookie or pastry recipe/task instead and I would gladly switch!!  At least dinner for tonight is set for DH so I can focus on my Processing Day treats!!  I am thinking Scottish Whipped Shortbread cookies and some classic chocolate chip cookies with just perhaps...if I have enough chocolate left over to make some no bake cookies (yum!!)  Lots to do to get ready for tomorrow and DD is ALREADY up...booo!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  Thank you again!! hugs.gif

If you make the turkey and wild rice soup you could add matzo balls and add them. smile.png Like a matzo ball soup with turkey. I love to cook. Which is a good thing, because I also like to eat.

My kids like the matzo balls because they are less doughy then dumplings.

Have fun cooking big_smile.png
