Well...mission accomplished!!  celebrate.gif I snuck into the coop tonight with DH and forced him to hold onto a chicken (hehe...he held the chicken backwards!!) and I placed a saddle upon her!!  No photos as it was too dark in the coop to get a photo of her.  I also managed to put one on Jemimah, but she did not protest nearly as much as Miss Tiggy.  It's amazing how easy it is to "catch" a chicken when it's half asleep roosting!!  Hehe.

My fingers are crossed that they will keep them on and by the morning they will be adjusted to them enough to wear them until they are healed.  fl.gif

VFem - I am so sad that I will not be at the WCA!!  Sure wish I could get some raspberries/blueberries from you.  Well...there's always next year!!  big_smile.png

I'm a SAHM happily married to the man of my dreams with two DD (another due 7/2013), 1 cat, 3 Marans, 1 BSL rooster (NoName), 1 Misc. Rooster (Tyrone); 5 Ducks (Cadbury and his girls), 2 misc. young chicks, 12 pullets, etc.

Results of my experimental hatch are in.

Set 10 eggs that sat on the kitchen counter..yada..yada.  Dated 1/5-1/18, I set them on 1/27. Oldest egg 22 days old.  Pulled 1 egg dated 1/8. Locked down 9 and 8 hatched. Egg dated 1/14 did not hatch.   I would call that a SUCCESS !!!!

Chick are doing GREAT !!!
