D.gif   Welcome!! Where on our beautiful coast are you? I am near Wilmington, and also fairly new to the world of chickens!! But am having more fun than I ever thought!! What kinds of chickens do you have?

 I have a great husband, a mini farm that we call Barred Rock Farm! 1 Golden Retriever, 10 assorted cats, 3 goats, Jersey Giants, Cochins, Columbian Wyandottes , RIRs, Sex Links, Buff Orphingtons, Barred Rocks , EE, all of which is subject to change at any time!!  Except the great husband part!!!

Ok, just came in from rounding up the chickens... it was coop swap time and I figured in the dark all would be good. NOPE! Had one little brat (in fact I've only ever called her 'Brat' because I could use the other B-word in front of the kids! LOL), who made a run for it. Hubby was MAD! Once I had her she was fine... that's when I realized his voice flipped her out!

 

No wonder my husband doesn't get along with my birds, they don't seem to like men!? When DD and I are out... everyone is calm and loves on us, total trust... he walks out and its all H*@# breaks loose! hahaha

 

He prefers and loves on the ducks though.... hugs.gif

A prior service military couple trying to wing it on a micro farm with silkies, showgirls and a call duck.

In the incubator: 27 eggs set 4/15 (one on 4/16)

In the brooder: 2 SGs, 1 silkie all white

DH breeding Coop: 3 Black Hens, 1 Splash hen and roo

White Coop: Too Many
