I agree with Wild.  I also do not use the plastic lamp fixtures.  I only use the ceramic ones.  A heat lamp bulb can get hot enough to melt the plastic and create a fire hazard.  The ceramic ones are $9.97 at Tractor Supply and around $12 at Lowes.

I just hope I get to see them the first day or so in order to help my neighbor sex them.

Hope everyone in NC is well!

Hi there!  Happy to see someone from my area - I'm in Liberty!

I found one turkey egg three weeks ago, and nary another since, until yesterday!  And today there is another.  I'll put them all in the incubator on the next run, along with the BCM eggs I'll be getting this weekend!  Hopefully there will be more to go with them.

Meg and Chris, plus mastiffs Murphy, Jake and Reilly, and Great Dane Levi. Orpingtons, Welsummers, Ameraucanas, Barnevelders, Rosecomb Brown Leghorns, Cuckoo Marans, and a few turkeys, along with NZW rabbits, summer lambs or calves, and who knows what else.
