I think they are Tetra Tints. I got them out of the pullet bin at TSC. It said they could be any of the production egg layers. The only difference in the six is the one that did the "deed" has orange legs and a black beak, where the other ones have yellow/greenish legs and a yellow beak. I put the offender in timeout last night to give the others a chance to recover a bit. They have been out for most of the day. Hopefully it was a one time occurance and related to them being in the cage most of the day yesterday because of the weather. Here is a photo of the offender. It's not a good pic but the only close up I have of he/she.  And as of now most of the purple has worn off my hands, but I still have a lot around my cuticles. :)IMG_2656.JPG

One tetra tint pullet, five white plymouth rock pullets, seven little mixed fuzzballs, and three silkies.

So I have somebody coming tomorrow to pick up my boys.  Happy they are going to a good home where they can enjoy the country life.  I think I found some lav orp.  that I want they are pretty birds.  is 35 too much to pay for a hen that is laying about 9months

Jon

Who knew this would be come an addiction!  I currently have 13 hens and 1 large light brahma rooster. We also have somelittle ones but as I have learned here they don't count.  I have started building coops to Sell.  I have come up with a company name Olde Tyme Coops hopefully it works out!

I wanted to let everyone know that if they are looking or know someone else who's looking I am putting a couple of my LF flocks up for sale.

Gold Cuckoo Marans flock - just coming 6 months old and the girls as laying. 1 Gold cockerel, 1 Gold pullet, 1 black copper pullet and 2 "Gold Salmon" pullets.

Ameraucana/EE flock - not quite a year old and the girls lay almost daily! These are full am's just from a mixed color group so they are considered ee's. They all have beards and muffs. 1 cockerel and 2 pullets.

Have a few bantams available still as well.

Black mottled cochin hen - very sweet

a couple white bantam orp juvi trios

two adorable misc. cockerels one clean legged, one feather legged

I am also parting with my Bantam Gold Comet flock - 1 cockerel & 4 pullets

Well I better get back to the yard, those weeds aren't going to pull themselves. tongue.png

I am from Eden which is about 45 min north of Greensboro on the VA border. I've been scanning around this site to find a good source for me to increase my flock(if you can call 2 a flock lol) Seems like I am stuck in the middle. Everything is out in the mountains or way out east. If anyone is from my area or knows a good source around here please let me know. I am considering going to a poultry/livestock auction they have in Stokes, but it keeps loosing priority because I hate to drive out that ways and not get anything. Also, I commute to Asheboro for work so anything down that ways works too. Thanks!!!

I am in Liberty.  Not too far away from you.  What do you have in  your flock, and what are you looking for?

MaryRuth, PM me about the piglets....how much you are asking for them.  I'd have to check with my step daughter, but I SO want to buy one for my little step-granddaughter!!!  And they have the perfect place for one, and love animals.
