Well got everything done and all the places got to today.  Even managed to drop off eggs and be an enabler myself gig.gif and came home with a new pet to thrill the kids and upset DHlove.gif. He sounded scared on the phone when I told him I had a new pet, but after I told him it was a baby hog-nose snake, he seemed almost relieved tongue.png    But a big thanks to Bhep's 1st DS for my new pet.hugs.gif

Hello everyone, I'm having to downsize. because of my injuries, injuries I can't work and I just can't clean that many cages!
So I have…
2 bantam orp chicks born on july 4th. One black, one black/white mix. I pretty sure they're both pullets.
A pair of blue/black split silkies will be a year in october. They have great beards, crest, and feet. I got blue, black and blue partridge chicks from them.
1 barnvelder/speckled sussex pullet 3 months old.
1 black sexlink/slw pullet 3 months old.
1 blue silkie 4 months old, unsure of sex. Pet quality.

And while I am downsizing I wouldn't mind trading for some maran pullets or jersey giant pullets.

The oldest was thrilled to be able to reach under a broody hen (who isn't being allowed to set) and pull out a warm egg.  I told her she was lucky this particular hen is mellow.  I've had others who would eat you alive if you tried that. One day, one of those girls will have chickens

Are you being an enabler?? love.gif

But of course!

Meg and Chris and two grown kids; Mastiffs Murphy, Jake and Reilly; Great Dane Levi; a few turkeys; one barn cat; a few snakes. Summer locker lamb/bottle calf status is variable.  Chicken math is logarithmic.  Gathering in English Orpingtons, Welsummers, BBS Ameraucanas, Rosecomb Brown Leghorns .... I've also downsized due to health issues and I know how frustrating that is. hugs.gif On the other hand....trading is not downsizing. lau.gif  Just thought I'd point that out.roll.png

Good Morning,  Everyone!

Breakfast is ham, scrambled eggs (real ones, not storebought, despite the company!), toast, fresh grapes and cherries, homemade blackberry jelly and homemade grape juice, and coffee brought up from Colombia.  If you can be here in fifteen minutes, I'll set a plate for you.

Have a great day, everyone!

I made scrambled eggs with spinach and onions and turkey sausage for breakfast. It was yummy.
