that or the young men are to busy being teenage boys to crow lol which would explain the barebacks on the favorites   theres a thing called a hen saddle that covers their backs

silkies and (projects), sumatras, lakenvelders, frizzles, polish and (projects), sultans, buff orps, black sexlinks, turkeys, red golden pheasents, Peepers, dogs, cats, fish, horses, wild kids, and one very understanding DH, come on over for a visit to the crazy farm

Yeah, deworming all 291 would take me a week or two! I'm good below 50, wife is best with 20!

It's not their backs that are bare, it's their tail area. I actually thought one of them was rumpless for a second when I first noticed it gig. Even odder it is the 2 EE pullets that have the muffs and beards too. Hopefully it is just pecking order being established.

Happily married since 2006. Mommy to 3 boys! Currently own 5 EEs, 2 RIR, 1 NN, 1 Frizzle, 2 Ameracaunas,  2 Cochins, 2 Leghorns, 1 Polish, 1 EE/Polish mix, 3 goats, a dwarf hamster, and a pitbull/boxer mix.
