Blount County 4-H will hold its annual chicken show and auction on Saturday, August 23rd at Heritage High School in Maryville, TN. There will be (4) breeds shown and auctioned, all pullets hatched the last week of March, 2014. The breeds are Rhode Island Red, Barred Rock, Red sex-link and Black sex-link. The judging will begin at 1115 with the auction to immediately follow (around 12 noon).
The birds will be auctioned in lots of (4) and (6) and the auction price is per bird. So if your winning bid is $13 on a lot of four birds, your total bill will be $52.
So come on out to the show barn at Heritage High School on Saturday, August 23rd at 1100 to support our local 4-H kids and take some home some fine young pullets just ready to start laying.
