You did the right thing, It sounds like you've got a good momma, so if the chick is strong enough to survive, it will. It's late hatching anyway, so it could be a weak chick to begin with. It is hard to watch those little ones struggle. I have a hard time with that, too. It means you have a good, nurturing spirit...Thank you hope I did the right thing! I always thought let nature do it's thing but it was had watching it struggle
