I have had chickens here on the same land for 19 years, I haven't seen any worms. Most animals you don't actually see the worms unless there was a reason for the animal to dump the load. A healthy chicken will have a certain amount of worms and it's normal and natural. Certain foods can help keep the population in line. If a chicken has a worm overload than there's something wrong with the chicken, and worming them won't help in the end. Keep it in mind that these are all my own ideas without any scientific studies, just old farmer studies.

Kelsey. Massachusetts. Have a 4 year old Black Lab/Great Pyrenees mix named Gator, a 6 year old kitty named Luna, and 8 hens hatched October 26th, 2015. 1 Barred Rock, 2 Black Australorps, 3 Buff Orpingtons, and 2 Easter Eggers on about 3 acres. 5 more chicks coming this October
