Ducks with chickens?

We have 10 ducks now and are about to start finally building a more permanent winterized pen for them this year. My question is this: we have a chicken (and are receiving a rooster friend for her tomorrow) and they don't seem to pick on each other any right now, but in the winter if they are enclosed together for longer periods of time, will that be an issue I need to worry about? They have more space in the enclosure they have right now, but it's a terrible winter solution kind of place. The enclosure we're looking to build seems about 8'x8', and we will probably have some boxes for the chicken above the ground.

I'm scared that the not-yet-sexually-matured male ducks we have (2 or 3 of them, we aren't positive) might go after the chicken. I read somewhere on here that if that were to happen, it'd likely kill the chicken. Will the chicken and roo need a separate fenced area within the enclosure or no?
