This bird, and the others in my flock are from 18-20 weeks of age. What should I do for them? This bird is the most advanced in the illness and I know of at least one more that has it too. I live in Texas and on top of that in a very wet area so the mosquito population is high. Is there anything I can or should do for my birds?

Really there isn't anything to do. It will pass. This looks like a mild case, at least so far. If it turns into the wet form...or the black scabs then you may want ot post for more input. If it would make you feel better some say you can put iodine on them to help dry them out but I don't know that it does that much.

Not the big black scabs that get on their feet, legs and beaks and leave holes. Those are like the size of half a marble. That there is just the patches that get on the wattles and the combs.

Looks like a mild strain of fowl pox to me, you're fortunate.
To help prevent mosquitos; eliminate standing water where possible. You can add sand to the pen or run to soak up water, it wont wash away neither. Put fine mesh screen on vents to your coop(s.) You can hang screen over the entrance to the coop and cut verticle strips through the screen allowing your chickens to walk freely in and out of the coop to lay eggs, go to roost at night etc...

*sigh* I have a feeling this is avian pox, am I right?

Just have three chickens, and my female RIR is pictured here. She seems fine, but was a bit easier to catch today than normal. Hoping she just gave in quickly and isn't feeling lethargic. My other hen and rooster seem okay, but will check them tomorrow.

I've read up on this and know I need to check their mouths and just allow this to run its course - remove standing water, etc... but is there anything I can feed them/give to drink to keep their immune systems boosted? I've heard a lot of back and forth about garlic and ACV so not sure about those... yogurt? scrambled eggs? cooked chicken? oatmeal? I just want to give them a boost if possible. Plan to clean her little "nobs" tomorrow morning

I think my hens have the same thing... I doesn't look like pecking problems. Just making sure it's not something else.
