How often should I expect eggs?

I have two pairs of ducks, I am unsure of their breed, one pair is a large white duck and the other pair is a small brown duck. I am not getting consistent egg laying from them. Do ducks lay one egg per day like chickens? I am not sure of how old they are because they were given to me by a friend. Is there something I could do to help them lay a bit more or are they getting to the end of their egg production?

Ducks are similar to chickens (i think) and each breed lays a different amount of eggs a week to others

that is true different breeds lay different amount of eggs and so depending on what your ducks are depends on how many egg you'll get from them

and you cant make them lay more...they only lay so manya year but as long as you provide a good diet with enough calcium you should get a good amount of eggs
