My Buckeye Rooster lost all feathers from upper neck & all down chest. It's probably been 2 mo. (My chicken man just pointed out!) Beet Red. Only seen a hen peck at him once.
The 8 hens in w him are only feather-lost on back (same as last yr), shoulders & neck areas.
All 9 are 2-1/2 yr. old.
Live in a well kept coop & covered inner run, both covered in pine shavings.
In day they dig around in weeds & dirt in the lg.outer
