Hi y'all
We just got baby ducks( first time too) and my husband thought he could feed them chick feed(crushed up) but I was told not too, anyone know if we can or not?

Congrats on the babies! Chick Feed should be fine but they will need niacin supplements.

Interesting, thank you! I'm not sure what niacin is but I'll talk to my feed store tmr!;)

You can use chick feed, but ONLY if it is NON-Medicated. I believe the chick medicine can be toxic to ducks. Also, Chicken feed will be insufficient in Niacin, so you will need to supplement. We used nutritional yeast in their food and also a waterfowl specific starter mix dissolved in their water.
