Anyone else into fishing? If so what are you fishing for? I mainly fish for Speckled trout (saltwater). My favorite thing to do is wade the surf with top-waters, when conditions are right. I also like flounder gigging and surf fishing for specs and red fish.
 
I've loved to fish all my life. Weird though, I've had less opportunity to do so now that I'm retired. I fished for speckled trout once while visiting N'awlins when an old guy took me into the bayou.
I like salt water fishing but my favorite thing is crystal clear mountain streams. Growing up in Missouri, that means smallmouth, largemouth, spotted bass among other sunfish, white bass, perch, rainbow and brown trout, pike, etc. in the Ozarks. I especially like multi day canoe trips and fishing along the way.

I love to fish. I just don't have the time to do as much fishing that I would like to. I ussually make time though every fall to do some salmon fishing. We live in Michigan and fish the salmon that come in from the lakes every fall. Awesome fun!!
 
My husband is a commercial fisherman in hawaii. B.C. (Before children) I went with him almost everyday. Now my days are spent much differently...I sure do miss it though!!
 
We usually fish on the opposite side of the state by Ludington. Durring September the Salmon fishing is good and in October & November the Steelhead fishing is good. Hope your brother catches a lot!
 
I grew up fishing the lakes and creeks of Idaho - trout, crappie, etc.....nothing like walking a creek early in the morning and returning to camp with a string of fresh trout for breakfast.
After I met and married my husband, we spent three years in NC where I learned the fun of fishing for drum, flounder and other new and interesting species in the Neuse (whole other world from the fishing I grew up on). Now we are here in Indiana and I am learning the ways of bass fishing....as well as the fun of catching bluegill and catfish.
