my chickens havent layed an egg yet

ok,they really need a pelleted food,growing food till they are 18 week's then you can get laying pellet's and i just started mine on crushed calsium they are approx 14 weeks,it's your choice but they really need the nutrient's in the growing food,good luck

Please stop the corn and give them the grower feed until they start laying, then switch to layer feed. They may turn their nose up at the nutritious food at first because they are used to eating corn. Don't give in - or they will probably never lay eggs. Please update this when they start laying.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. X2 on drumstick divas' advice. You're hens are definitely not getting adequate nutrition with the diet you are feeding them. Treats like corn should comprise less than 10% of their total diet. Commercial feeds are specially formulated to meet their dietary needs. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. Thank u all for your help and im proud to say that one of my chickens has started to lay now thank you so muck esspecially Ol Grey Mare for the a advice of giving them protien
