Hello!

We moved our coop into the barn yesterday. Had to coax them in last night but they finally found their food/water/coop new location and slept there but did not go in coop. tonight they would not go in their new area and are perched on fence post and unfortunately I cannot get them all corralled to the barn. They are going to be outside all night and im worried about predators. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get them to accept their new location so they will go in at night?

Of note...there was an egg in the coop so one of them went in there today.

I have 5 hens and one sassy rooster.

any advice would be welcomed.

Chickens don't move in the dark, so it's a good time to corral them and take them off the fence and put them on the roost in the coop. Keep them in the coop for a few days so they learn where home is NOW. Chickens do not like changes, it can even stop some from laying until they adjust and feel secure.

Chickens are, well chickens. Even If you moved the coop only a couple of feet - they probably couldn't figure out what happened.
