POLISH HATCH-A-LONG

Hi everyone I have just set 11 polish in my incubator tonight plus 2 Wyandotte x Orpington.
Will be posting pics of the process please feel free to join in my hatch a long, hope you enjoy the process as much as I will as this is my last hatch for this year. So exited and can't wait for first candling already. :celebrate

Hi everyone. Candled day 7 all 11 polish fertile :woot

. The two wyandottes x not sure on yet think one could be. These are the cockerels first incubated eggs so not sure if he quite working right!!

Hi everyone just candled day 14. As predicted one of the Wyandotte was infertile and also a polish was a day 10/11 quitter. All others coming along well.

Hi everyone have just candled for the final time on day 18 I am pleased to say all 11 have gone into lockdown. Now just have to wait I'm so excited can't wait for them to hatch.

Have just checked the incubator for the 100th time and have just spotted my first pip. So excited hoping for my first chick tomorrow. Polish always seem to hatch on day 20. Has anybody else had this happen?

Yeah you!! I'm hatching polish too and just locked down today!! So excited but first hatch so we'll see how it goes. We'll see if they hatch on day 20!

Yeah they do look pretty weird when they hatch. It's because they have a vaulted skull it seems to stick up. Good luck with yours, polish are super birds I can't get enough of them :love
