I hear and read lots of stuff. When a show breeder comes knocking to look at my hatchery pullets , kind of makes u go huh. I am not a show breeder but do love the glws for many reasons. My research on this breed is very limited in USA and Canada. Space and time are always an issue, I want this breed to continue and I have space and coops to help. I have a hatchery cockerel that looks promising. Read I can breed him to some quality Slw and get glws hens. Maybe this would improve worn out lines. Maybe I am nuts. We just want to help breed. We raise organically. Open book.

You can start that way, or you can try to find a line that is already on it's way to standard. If you don't have an SOP, that would be your first step. Good luck with them, I know how it is to want to help a critically rare breed.
