Could someone tell me whether this is a rooster or a hen? I am new to this. I was thinking a hen initially but yesterday morning it crowed like a rooster. This is actually a rescue that acquired me a couple of weeks ago. I've tried to find the owners but so far no luck so we have adopted one another.
Your found bird is male. That being the case, it may well be why he was dumped.
