If you live here you go to the farmer's market on Sat mornings (starts May usually) and buy frozen rabbit from Foggy Brook Farm.
No I've not gone that path, wouldn't be able to get that past the family.
What does the pan of water do for the bread and should I be doing that??And Easter bread:
That makes it a winter cake, I'm swimming in eggs at the moment. Need ways to reduce the quantity and a no egg cake wouldn't help!
The pan of water in the oven when you bake bread will give you a crunch crust. When you take the bread out of the oven, you will actually hear the crust crackling as it cools.

Hey folks, last loaf of bread I made, I made a boneheaded mistake. I figured it out with this loaf. If the top browns too quickly, put a foil cover over. But them I put my temp probe through the foil. Probe goes off, bread is raw... It's reading the foil temp not the bread temp.
My pullman pans have metal lids I pull the lids off to brown the bread that is when I put a probe in it
