Any Home Bakers Here?

I just did a quick look Aria, and this is what they have:
Here's a link to their Grain Flours so you can see all they have:
grain-flour

They do show high gluten bread flour, but seems pricey to me...it's $14.50 for a 5-lb bag.
Thanks Debby, I agree TOO Pricey. There is a wholesaler in town. They do not like to give info on phone...they want you to come to the store. They do have Bread Flour in fact she said it is King Arthur and
in 50 pound bags. EEK. I do a lot of baking but that is a bit much.
The search is till on. And I do think the All Purpose with the Vital
Gluten is the best right now. Thanks again, Aria

One thing we used to get were pipitas with a chili lime seasoning...those little things were addictive. I don't know if I want to even check on those again, they were seriously tempting.

The Medjool dates were the best dates I've ever had, I'm thinking of getting more. And oh, maybe a couple of other things. Just because
Dates....they are now making YEAST WATER. There is also in some places
shortages of yeast. And they are making the yeast water with DATES
and other dried fruits and sugar into a Sourdough Starter. Interesting.

While you're there, check out the dried fruits...some of those things might be nice to keep on hand for baking with.
NO-no, No. Can't check out the dried fruits. Did not make my Grandma's Cuccidatti recipe with dried dates and figs for the holidays this year. They really would go well with hot coffee or hot tea. Well, maybe I can just look.

Is the recipe like a fruit cake @oldhen2345?

You can make pepitas too.
I realize not everyone grows pumpkins, thus doesn't have access to a lot of seeds like I do, but if you can find plain seeds locally (I've seen them with nuts in regular grocery stores) you can toast them with all kinds of different spices.
And I agree...very addictive!

Medjool dates... I've nearly bought them several times at different places, but the spendy price tag keeps me at bay. Are they worth the price over regular dates or chopped dates?

Dried pears are some of my favorite dried fruits so I'm NOT going to look at the dried fruits on Nuts. I had a hard enough time not ordering them wholesale when I could.

edit: typos

I suppose the dates are a matter of opinion, but I definitely preferred the Medjool over the others...they're bigger for one thing. I like to just snack on them but I bet they'd bake up well or be nice in a hot cereal.

No. they are like Italian fig cookies. They are a dough rolled out, filling put in and the dough rolled over to make about a 1 inch tall roll. they are cut about 3 inches long and then one side sliced a few times and the cookie bent. Baked and frosted. Next time I make some, I will take pics. They kind of taste like fig newtons. The filling has figs, dates, raisins, walnuts, orange pulp, honey, a little orange zest and a small sprinkle of pepper for zing.
