The post was not about how much to use but about how to measure the amount you will use.

I too have found too much sugar in most frostings and etc. Also, way too much frosting for the cake. Often I only use half of the frosting for a layered cake and have a lot of wasted frosting.

I usually will cut the frosting recipe in half for recipes like that

My 23andme dna test says I prefer savory treats though. That might have an effect on how sweet I like things.
 
Did I miss something?
The Chess Cake recipe does not call for frosting the cake. The cream cheese is mixed with eggs and powdered sugar and poured onto the cake before baking. So, kinda like a cheesecake with a dense cake layer on the bottom, right?
Penny put frosting on it-- and then there was discussion about measuring powdered sugar.

Measuring would be the same for both frosting and cakes that use powdered sugar

Hey I cheat the frosting was bought used all of it just as wanted ..
the cake was great as the top kinda sank like when it
came out.

I understand you don’t hunt or fish anymore, That’s OK. I was just apologizing because that video was a tad too gruesome in my opinion.
