Gardening weather for your area? :p
Short growing season here. Cold tolerant plants get seeds planted the 1st of May. Plants that can't tolerate light freezes get started indoors and transplanted to the garden around June 1.

First frost of the fall is usually the first weekend in September.

Y’all how do you deal with the cold? We got a cold front today and now it is 85 not 90!!!!
Wear warm clothes in easy to remove layers. It is easy to add clothing if too cold. There are only so many clothes you can remove if it gets too hot.

This morning started at -23°F, got up to 26°F and is now back down to 12°F.

Hey guys,

It’s been a partially good day, and a partially bad day.

Bad part of the day was I had a breakup with a close friend. I am depressed because of that. I would rather not talk about it.

Good part of the day is that today I did my first ever firearm purchase. It’s a muzzleloader.

I’ve always been interested in those. It also meets the Idaho hunting regulations for muzzleloaders.

Looks like I will be hunting the good old fashioned way!

It arrives in the store on or before the 17th. Then I will have my background check when I go in the store to get it.

Exciting day, but a sad day also, like I said.

Doesn't somebody here pressure can veggie soup? Can I do that with soup that's already cooked without turning it into mush? Or do you only start with fresh raw* veggies? I have about 4 qts left of soup from last night.

Raw, not rae. Darn arthritis.
I've never tried straight veggie soup. I have done ham and bean and chili. The ham and bean turned out fine, I would suspect that veggie would too. Chili, not so much. I don't recommend canning any soup with ground meat in it as the meat turns to sand. It tastes fine but the texture is horrible.
