Kitchenaid mixer question for y'all:
We have the tilt head type we got about 5 years ago, works fine. DD1 got the old (and I mean OLD!) Kenwood when we got the KA. Her's is now dying so we will get her a KA for her birthday. Do people have opinions about the pros and cons of the tilt head versus bowl lift KA mixers??
I have the lift type, and I like it for its greater capacity, but I do wish it had the convenience of the tilt head in terms of being able to have more clearance when adding things.

One problem I have encountered with the lift kind is that you need to be careful to add ingredients from the right. I have had issues with the switch on mine because I had been adding from either side and and flour/sugar dust had gotten into the contacts for the switch, and I had to open it up and clean it out as best I could.
