Any Home Bakers Here?

I had one at one point, but it was very low quality.
Ah. If you invest in another one, get a good one. More expensive, but they last.

DH bought a Stihl soon after we moved here. He finally replaced it this summer, after 28 years. $550, but he says it cuts through oak like it's going through a sponge. He says they are comparable in size, the bar is the same length, but the motor is much more powerful. If this lasts 28 years too, we won't need to buy another one.

I should try baking bread myself
It must taste better than store-bought bread right
Oh, you must! I never eat store bread any more! There's just no comparison. Your house will smell like heaven. Well, first it will smell a little bit like beer if you use yeast, lol ... but while it's baking it will smell like heaven. And when you take it out of the oven, you must resist cutting and eating it while it's hot, it keeps cooking for a bit while it cools. (Some do, though, but you should wait and let it cool at least half an hour, maybe longer.) And eat it with real butter, not margarine. Oh, there is nothing like it! :drool:drool:drool You will be so proud of yourself!

I bought a cheap chainsaw many years ago, it was so useless! The chain would jump off after every cut, it did manage to cut stuff I couldn’t cut with a handsaw, but it was a lot of work for just one cut, when the oak tree fell on our roof I tried to buy a Stihl, but since I wasn’t the only person in all of Germany having a tree on the roof they were totally sold out 😮 thank God my neighbor already had one and was willing to use it 🙏🏻
