1/4 cup warm water
1 cup milk
1/4 cup butter-flavored Crisco Butter
1 egg beaten
1/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 cups flour Blanca "All-Purpose" or bread flour
1 tablespoon yeast
4 tablespoons Hudgson Mill Vital Wheat Gluten
The breadmaker or "bread machine" pour the ingredients in the order listed. This means the bottom liquids and solids above. Thus when the machine begins the process of making the dough ingredients were mixed uniformly.
To make the dough you must press the button that says "dough" or mass in your machine [machine only prepares the dough] After the machine finishes preparing the dough "about an hour and a half depending on the specifications of it, you take out the dough.
Pour some flour on the counter area and amaze the masses for a minute more. Cut dough into 2 pieces and shaped loaf of bread or bread roll. In a baking tray place the 2 pieces of loaf and let rise about 30 minutes or until the desired size. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
Important to accelerate the bread rise my recommendation is to cover the loaves with a towel, and place the tray in a hot area.
** You can use a Hot Pad Heat Pad or below the tray that heat **.
If you wish, you can also make smaller rolls for a meal, this recipe makes about 12 bread rolls.
Approximate time for the preparation of the Pan Sobao 3 hours.
this is not my recipe but the original one was in spanish. this is the site i got it from http://sazontaino.com/pan-sobao-puerto-rico/
i did tweak it a little i didnt use the wheat gluten because i cant find it in the stores here but i dont think it made a difference. also i added two teaspoons of honey to help with the sweetness and i let it rise for about 2 hours instead of thirty minutes. all in all it turned out great. oh and i also went by ronott1 directions for the yeast preparation. i also didnt use a bread machine i used my hands to mix everything.
