About 13 weeks old light sussex, pulley or rooster?!

Last week I got these four chickens but since then one of the light sussex chickens has grown a comb!! I have never had chickens before so I don't know whether this is a puller or a rooster, lucky I have a hen to compare it to which is the first pic, this one doesn't have a comb and their legs are the same size and their bodies are pretty much the same size

I'm sure you can see the one I mean, please help! I have neighbours right next to their coop and they said they would love the hens but no roosters so please help! Before it crows! Or should it be crowing already?

I have read about the saddle feathers but don't understand it and can't see much if a difference in their feathers either, please help!!!!!! Thanks
 
Does look male, but, only in comparison to the others. You can see 6 week old males with that much crest and wattle. But going by comparison to its clutchmates is often the better bet than any other arbitrary comparison.

I can't see in the photos clearly but his neck feathers appear different to the pullet's. With so little crest/comb on him it's not overly likely that he has any significant male feathering but if he does on his neck then he will also have on his shoulders, flanks etc, probably also some starting out in his tail. If you can get a good, clear closeup of the feathers from side-on or above, I can tell you if he has any, and circle them so you know what structure you're looking for. But at this rate he does seem male. On the other hand, 'he' may be your first to lay an egg... However I doubt so, there's a distinctly male look about his eyes.

Your camera's not very sharp, so I can't say for sure, but the feather I circled appears to have a triangular shape. If it does, it'd be a male. I've been planning to do up a better guide to male feathering, I will see if I can get it done and uploaded tonight. (7:00pm over here).

That sounds great! And thank you so much, will go and speak to the neighbours just to warm them that there might be a crow one morning and ill contact the seller and see if I can swap him for a hen :) thank you
 
I want to redo this with photographs, but don't have a good camera yet. Got a new one and it's not as advertized, shall we say... Anyway, I sketched it, but hopefully it helps.
 
Note: 2b in the guide is the type of feather I circled on your chook's back... If I'm seeing correctly, that is, but with this guide you could check out whether it really is that feather. If yes, it's a male.

That is amazing!! Thank you so much! I have taken some really close up ones of the suspected male but the saddle feathers to me look identical to the pullets, round with no triangle in it
