Any advice please, we went to our chickens away tonight around 730 ad usual and one was missing, we looked around everywhere and did not see her, I just went back outside to check to see if she was there and she was and it's 835, she actually let me pick her up to put her in the coop. Is she sick, or is it because it's dark and she's sleepy??? Any help please

Than you for responding, I forgot to mention that last night when I picked her up there was a clear liqueur coming out of her slowly as if she was peeing, I have not seen this before. Now this morning she came out with the rest of the flock but seems to be very tired, just sitting on the steps while the other hens clean their feather s, is she sick??

My normally healthy birds pass clear fluids , sometime the timid ones don't like being picked up.
Is she wormed and dusted? Does her crop fill and empty? Does the rest of the stool look normal?
How about heat stress making her lethargic?

I was worried as I started reading your story, but was happy that when you went back out to check on her she had made it home! I wonder if something had her cornered/trapped or feeling so threatened she couldn't get home at her normal time, so the stress is causing her to be off today? I would probably just keep a close eye on her for 24 hours and see if she gets back into her routine tomorrow. If you have a crate or dog carrier, maybe consider putting her in there with some food and water (maybe with "save-a-chick" added?) in sight of the rest of the flock, but so she's protected with access to her own food and water? Good luck, hope she is back to normal soon!

None of the are wormed or dusted, and I'm not even quite sure how to go about doing that??? It's has been very him mid here lately, so I'm keeping plenty of fresh water out for them, I'm trying to follow her So I can see what her poops look like? She's kinda doing her own thing today, sitting alot but she did eat some bread for me a little bit ago. But I have noticed she is staying very close to the house
