You can keep pigeons and chickens housed together, but it's best if you didn't. The main reason not to is disease. One that I can think of right this second is Chlamydiosis. It usually presents as a respiratory infection with flu-like symptoms (lethargy, going off food and drink, sunken eyes and dull feathers. Then of course you have all the symptoms that go along with the respiratory part of the disease, cough, mucus, eye and nose drainage, etc. There is no vaccine for this disease but to help keep the chances of it from forming in your flock, you should have a regular worming program in place for all of your birds. And be sure to worm them ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Whether you decide to house them together or not, remember, the choice is yours and you need to do what works best for you. Good Luck !!!
 
They will mix fine with bantams only.

Never let the pigeons breed in the same pen as chickens.

Chickens, even the bantams, will kill and eat the pigeon chicks. They will fly up to the nest boxes and do it.. and also bother.. and maybe injure, broody pigeons.

I keep my pigeons with my bantams. No problems. Never had them catch any disease from each other. I figured as they all free range in the yard anyway.. if some had a disease they would all catch it.

When I want to breed form certain pigeon pairs.. I take them out and house them in large dog cages until their chicks are independent.. and then they all go back in with the bantams.

This works well for me.. I can keep a close eye on the pigeon squabs.. and I don't want uncontrolled breeding as I only want about 10 pigeons in total.
 
I used to keep pigeons and ringneck doves with Silkie bantams. Since silkies don't fly well at all, and the doves nest about 5 feet off the ground, it was quite harmonious. I even fed everyone on the ground, though separate feeders and waterers on a high shelf might be better for the doves.
 
I do not recommend combining chickens and pigeons it usually ends badly. That being said I did mix Meat King chickens with pigeons and had no issues. Breed of chicken does play a factor. I still think you would be wise to raise them separately.
