Worming peacocks

Thank you very much for that info. Though I would prefer to only deworm him orally with a syringe, so I am looking for the dosage without water. Once I release him, I don't feel that it would be safe for me to lace all the waterers with dewormers, as I have cats and other wildlife here. So I just want to deworm him for the next 4 days with a syringe dosage, and then release him.

I had to go back and edit my reply as I made a mistake, sorry. Orally is the preferred method, safeguard or valbazen down the throat at 2.5-3ml per adult bird daily for 5 days and repeat at 10. We use valbazen due to the fact we do not like to catch our birds (Greens) without risking injury to ourselves or them. Dont worry about the other wild life or cats when deworming, as stated earlier its very hard to OD them. Consider this, we add 7ml per gallon of valbazen and have increased it to 10ml at times with zero issues. I watch the local tweety birds, sparrows and our pigeons drinking from the medicated water on a daily basis and have never observed one dying, sick or laying in the yard dead (although that wouldnt make me too mad as they consume their fair share of our feed) and they only weigh a few ounces. Keep us posted on the progress.

I got the dewormer for goats Sage-gauard 10%.  It says 2.3mg/lb and it give dosage examples (on the back) like a 25lb goat would only get 0.6ml.  So the goat dosage is much higher than the peafowl?? Because your (.23 ml/lb) calculations had me giving 1.84 mls for only an 8 pound bird.  I gave him that first dosage before I read the back of this bottle. I wanted to treat him for 5 days, but now I am worried about the correct dosage especially over a 4-5 day period.

Goat, cow, and horse doses are 2.3 mg per pound (0.023 ml per pound).

Bird dose is 10x that, or 23 mg per pound (0.23 ml per pound). Give for five days and all worms should be treated. Some people and vets suggest repeating in 10 days.

Dog and cat dose is also 0.23 ml per pound and is always given for three or more days.

If I were going to worm a male peacock of mine I would give 2 ml to a small one, or 3 ml to,a large one.

Ignore the goat directions, they are for goats, not poultry!
