HELP!! Why do my baby chicks all die right after I give them water???

Have the water tested right now. Be sure that the test is done where you get water for you chicks. Try the Health Dept. Tell them about your chicks dying right after they drink your water.
Get some new water from some place else this should help. PP

Wanted to give everyone an update... The water was the problem, yes the water was contaminated with waste. I lived near a large “farming" operation where stuff was getting dumped in places that it shouldn't have the landlord not wanting to correct this problem I was forced to contact dec and then I moved my birds are doing well, in this case losing chicks improved and keep my families health safe. My new babies as well as hens are doing great, waiting for nicer weather to improve the hen house.

So your water table was contaminated...I assume you're on a well and wonders how deep your well is?

Yes was on a well, but moved to a new place there was other issues besides the water killing chicks making us sick which I passed off for a flu or eating something that didn't agree with the digestive system. The chicks being smaller with less immunity they were effected more severely.

At least you know now it was nothing you were doing - that is a lawsuit against your landlord if I may be so bold to say - he did not want to fix the problem but he knew about it? ... Or did I read into that last part? Not that I am a sue happy person but come on that was pretty wrong.

Glad all are doing better and the mystery solved.

Oh and totally reminds me of the canary mining thing
