I don't get why people don't just go ahead and keep them. I live in a town where chickens are illegal, and i know of 4 people who keep them. And that is just people that I know, so imagine how many keep them that i don't know. As long as the neighbors are kept happy nothing is going to go wrong.
I wanted to and we were possibly going to, but this neighborhood used to have an HOA thing, an there's someone who acts like it still does. They are quick to report if they notice any small thing. Even the police think its much, and has been on stuff that doesnt effect anyone else, but since its been reported, they have to come cite it.
That stinks. I couldn't live in a place like that. I live in the suburbs and I still keep goats and chickens. As long as the neighbors are happy no one cares what you do.
