Hi!
These little babies are almost 12 weeks old. We got them at 4 weeks, and it has been SO fun to watch them grow! My husband and I have both wanted chickens for years, and after we got married we convinced our landlord to let us build a little coop and get a few. That's definitely one of the best parts about living in an almost terrifyingly small town - nobody care if you get chickens!
Left to right in the picture: Jessie - Cochin, Beaker - Orpington, James (a pullet) - Cochin, and Pidgey - EE.
I'm still finishing up the outside of their coop right now o_o The advice of coop first then chicks is something I should have followed ... thankfully if just needs a second coat of paint and to finish up putting hardware cloth on the run, They're been doing fine inside but I want them to have some outside time while the weather is still decent. I live in Washington, and it definitely rains out here! Add in strong gusts of wind coming off the water and there are going to be lots of stormy days where the little ones won't want to go out.
