This was week 15. Everytime geese flew over and honked the turkeys gobbled.

Okay thanks! I am still trying to decide if I want to raise heritage or commercial turkeys. I have from may to early november to raise them but it can be shorter then that. Any information is welcomed, Thanks!

I just put a heritage bronze tom in the freezer. He was 30 weeks old and I didn't fatten him up (he wouldn't stop fighting and the hens didn't like him so he had to go), he weighed 16¾ lbs dressed. At 40 weeks with a bit of fattening he might have been in the early 20's. My commercials weighed upto 30 lbs in 17 weeks, the smallest tom weighed 24 lbs.

I know this is a very old thread but I'm wondering if anyone has made this or something similar... I'm wondering how well it holds up to being moved, how heavy it is and how well it works... We are looking into options for tractors and I love the way this one looks but worry that it would come apart when moving...
