So i'm thinking of getting some coturnix quail, but I just have one question about their colors. If you breed golden coturnix and normal coturnix together, will their offspring's color be either normal or golden or both (pied)

I'm no expert on colors like this, but I think most of the offspring would be normal brown/wild because that is the dominant color.

You'll get gold speckled. You can change/control the spotting and coloring up to a point breeding them with either golden or pharaohs.

A coturnix is a coturnix more or less. They are all the same species, the only real difference in raising each color phase is the color itself. Some golden lines have a lethal gene which results in appx 25% less fertility. Some color phases cant be bred as large as others. Otherwise there are no major differences.

Hi will color mutations differ from flock to flock? im looking at Tennessee reds and it seem like one breeders quail have significantly deeper color.
