keets breathing is labored..

What type of bedding are they on? It sounds like Aspergilious which is caused by moldy bedding. Do they have adequate ventilation? Something is causing them lung problems. The fumes from Cedar chips are toxic as bedding if you are using them. I would put all the babies on clean old towels in a different location if you can.

I use TSC flake pine shavings for their bedding....checked bag and it looks good. I have the keets in the house with good air ventilation. I clean their bedding daily. The second little guy died.
Gone ahead and moved them to different broader with old towel for bedding in hopes that no one else gets sick or dies.
They are picking at every thread they see sticking up and pulling Lol...I enjoy watching them..

Sounds like you were doing things right. Sometimes it is just hard for find a reason for them dying. I know how hard this is for you. I lost over half of my first chick order years ago to lung problems. It's heartbreaking.. I hope the rest of your babies do okay.

I have a keet that acts like it is having problems breathing too. This morning it was lethargic so I brought it with me to work. If I fed it or gave it water it would stretch out its neck and act like it was choking. I rubbed its neck and it would be fine. Do you have any ideas on what could be wrong? I moved the other two babies to a coop I had another baby in and they are doing well. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Update: my little one passed away this morning around 2am. It is a sad day in our house, I absolutely HATE losing a baby. You grow so attached to them in such a short amount of time. I held it for the last few hours so it knew it was loved.
