can a Roo crow at 6 weeks??

Folks have had them crow as young as 2 weeks, I think. I don't see anything screaming cockerel from this picture, but a profile shot and a comb shot would help determine gender.

Here is a profile view.. No luck with a close up comb.. Maybe I'll have better luck tomorrow
I really thought I heard someone try to crow ..hope it was just my imagination
He/she is only 6 weeks today!

Looks like a cockerel and yes they can crow at that age .

I'm also leaning toward cockerel. The comb has a lot of color, the body color is splotchy and patchy, and the legs are thick. If the comb has three rows, it's a done deal for a cockerel.

There is only 1 row on the comb... I guess I 'll wait and listen!!
Thanks for the input....
I find the hatching your own chicks the only draw back is not knowing sex of the eggs! Lol

Lol I was surprised as well when peeping turned into ERRRRKKK! EEERRRRRKKKK! At 8-9 weeks old... I had hoped for a few more weeks before mine started crowing at 4 am, pathetic attempts it is at this early stage.
