Question-I'm new to SLW not new to chickens though I was under the impression the SLW were a gentler breed. I have had Rhode Island Reds in the past and they were so aggressive and mean also had EE roo and he was such a gentleman.
Are SLW roosters normally aggressive as you describe the one you got rid of?

As far as I had heard before having him, they tend to be fairly docile. I think his deal was mostly being raised with the hens. I've read how that can have an effect on their aggressiveness. I think it was just his personality. I do love the breed though and will eventually have another SLW rooster.
