G'day there from a fellow Aussie. I am new to Backyard Chickens myself. Your new chicks are very cute good luck with them. I was surprised with the hatching of my first ducklings yesterday.

CUTE chicks! Buff sussex are such pretty birds! Someday you may want to look into speckled sussex too!

A Speckled Sussex was on my list! It would have been great to have a trio of different Sussex's, but unfortunately there were none available from either of the two breeders I was looking at buying from. They each had a waiting list of something like two months and I wasn't going to wait that long! Speckled Sussex are in high demand it seems.

How do you get them to stand like that for photos??

I have no idea! I just placed them on the table and quickly took the photo before they shot off to try and get back into the brooder.

I'm hoping to get a photo of each of them like this at least every second day to try and capture their growth

I was just about to comment on how great the photos were. The chicks are very cute. :p It will be interesting to see how they change day to day, they do grow astonishingly fast...

Anyway, :welcome from a fellow Aussie in Adelaide.
