I put feelers out last year to see if there'd be an interest in one here. Everyone wants the shares to be super cheap and I decided not to go with a CSA. I decided to start with a farm stand. Which for a first year I thought did really well.

I did market gardening last year, it went really well. I've got to up my production befor I can get into a CSA style system. Now I have a baby on the way just as the season here gets going so I'll take this season off from selling produce. It will be good though, gives me time to exsperiment and decide where my new green houses will go... I'd like to set one up near my coop, and have it connected to the coop for the birds to use in the winter... All things in there own time.

Reading your thread with great interest.
My sister buys most of her food from Organic CSA's as she spent nearly 2 years sick from all the pesticides on the foods in the grocery stores. She also goes to the Farmers market and will only buy pesticide free produce.

I think I also had stayed sick from the pesticides on the grocery store produce. I know when ever we would go buy groceries and make a salad I would be in bed for 2-3 days afterwards. I have been trying to grow a few of my own veggies in raised beds.

There is a big difference between advertising as "Organic" because even organic veggies most times have chemicals used on them. Or round-up sprayed on the grass and soil before they plant.

Something like 47% of the organic produce in Canada tests positive for pesticide residue, and 76% of "regular" produce. It's finally spring up here so time to get the garden going again, I can't wait for my own fresh greens!
