These are some chicks that i'm still not sure about their color or gender,

1- I thought this one was a spalding bronze when he hatched, but now he has a lot of green on his neck, is he spalding? Mother could be bronze or spalding.

2- This is still a young guy, but if anyone had an idea on his color that would be great. He could be spalding or spalding bronze.

3- Is this a spalding bronze hen?

4- Is this male or female?

5- Male or female?

6- Male or female?

7- Spalding or spalding bronze?

Any help will be appreciated.

Well, I am not an expert by any means, but I sure have been spending a lot of time staring at my bronze chicks this year. I also have a spalding who is split bronze in with them and he is a dead ringer for your #1 (without the white throat latch), so I'm going to say spalding on that one. The bronze chicks don't really have any green on the neck yet and they are 16 weeks old now, the spalding had the green neck by 10 weeks.

How old is #2, like I said my spalding had green feathers at 10 weeks, if #2 is older than 10 weeks I'll bet he's a Bronze spalding.

#3 looks like a bronze but the neck feathers look male to me not female.

#'s 4, 5, &6 are tough, nice silvers but hard to sex with so little color.

I'm guessing here so don't hold me to this, # 4 female, # 5 male, # 6 female.

This guy has more colored feathers than your's but he did turn out to be a silver, they are faint but you can see stripes on the feathers on his back, my silver hen had no stripes up there on her back.

#7 how old? I see no green so I am thinking Bronze, but if he's really young I could be wrong.

Let me know how wrong I end up being!

#1 definitely Spalding, likely dark pied

All the rest, be patient my padawan learner, the force is strong, but patience will reveal the truth....:D

Cannot tell yet. Don't see any striping.

6- Male or female?

Cannot tell yet. Don't see any striping.

7- Spalding or spalding bronze?

I think he almost 6 weeks now, until now he isn't showing any green feathers.

That's what i think too, i'm thinking they could be all females or just one male, a trio would be great.

#1 his mother spalding pied, and father is bronze split white, i thought this chick is just split white, can he be dark pied?

I'm normally patient about the gender thing, I just wait them until i can be sure %100, but because i have someone who want to get some of these and he can't be patient.

Edited: just to be honest, the only chicks i want to know their sex for me were the silver chicks, i can't be patient on those

Based on the parental genetics, This chick is spalding split bronze pied. got one bronze gene, +one white gene from father. From the mother, one pied gene, +spalding genetics. For a chick to be dark pied, both parents need to have a pied gene. Therefore, not a dark pied.. This chick may have inherited a white eye gene, if the mother got w/e gene.

This is his parents, His father is split white, not sure if he carrying single white eye gene, but he is the father of these silver chicks too so i guess he is carrying white eye gene without showing any in his tail. Sorry if understand you wrong, but how i could know if he split for pied or white? As i thought he could get just white or pied gene from his mother.

Well then # 2 and # 7 are a little young to be sure about, but I still think #7 is bronze.

My bronze chicks are 16 weeks now, took these pics this morning.

I traded the Bronze barred wing for this little hen. Trying to figure out if she is a Cameo Pied or a Peach Pied. Father is Cameo Pied WE split Peach and possible moms are Cameo BS, Peach or a Peach split to White, Pied or WE. Any thoughts??
