Incubating and not seeing anything.. HELP!!!! :(

The eggs ended up not being fertile and the Rooster which was supposed to be making them fertile died shortly after I got those eggs.. I now have a dozen RIR and a dozen GLW in the bator. Day 2 and the temp is steady. Since they were shipped and I read a post about not using the turner for three days, that is what I plan on doing. I will post again after about eight days when I plan on candling... Eventually I will be looking for a RIR or a GLW rooster to be with these ladies. Not planning on inbreeding...

Thanks Bantam. Here us a question. If and when they do hatch could I possibly move them to another incubator which is set with a lower humidity so they dry out? I read somewhere that if they don't dry out they can get chill and die. If the humidity is high during the 18-21 days and at hatch time won't that stop them from drying and fluffing up?

I took mine out as soon as each hatched and moved them under a heat lamp (only like 20% humidity). They are very healthy. It still took a whole day for mine to fluff up. Not saying the way I did it was best practices, but I don't think you need a second incubator, unless maybe you don't have a heat lamp...in which case you really have to get a heat lamp.

This pic is hours after hatching...

You probably could, but it isn't necessary. I've hatched at least 5 times and every time, I've left the chicks in the hatching-humidity incubator until they were 75% fluffy/dry. It may be moist in the incubator, but not moist enough to chill them or prevent them from ever drying. When the chicks are mostly dry, then you can put them in a brooder under a heat lamp or other heating source.

Just wanted to give an update on my incubating process. Day 11 and I have 12/12 Golden Laced Wyandottes and 9/15 RIR that look healthy thus far. Candling and seeing growth and movement. I am very excited!!!
Lockdown is Monday the 17th
