My name is Hillary & I am a chicken addict.
It has gotten to the point where my co-workers have designated Wednesday as chicken day saying that I cannot use the 'C' word any other...on the other days I call them poultry.
I have newly registered but must admit that I am a long time BYC snooper. My Dad, my flock, my parrot & my pug live in lovely Muskoka Ontario. It all started when my father saw an add for a chicken coop & half jokingly suggested we get it. Well, needless to say, that tiny coop now houses newcomers or acts as grow-out housing now that I've basically put an outdoor addition onto the house just for the feather butts. I started with a freebie standard Buff Orpington (Helen) & some mystery bantams. Helen remains my only standard size & I now find myself with bantam Silver Laced Wyandottes, Araucana (crele & BBR), Silkies (partridge & black) & a surprisingly mixed bunch of offspring from the 'mystery bantams'.
I look forward to regaling myself of the knowledge, support & fellowship of other addicts.
