This Is Pasty Butt Right?

That thread has me less worried for my girl. I was immediately able to get a really sizable poop out of her after cleaning around her vent and rubbing some warm water on it, then saw several other poops she took on her own.

So I'll just continue with my plan of giving her probiotics and see how she does.

So an update.

We put garlic powder on the flock's food yesterday, it has anti bacterial anti fungal properties.

Today her vent was back to normal but still she was a bit constipated. I helped her get some more poop out and put her back with the flock. Then I gave the entire flock probiotic on their water.

Coccidiosis, dehydration, bacterial infection or a fungal infection could cause this. What does the poop look like? Try getting it to drink as much water as possible and make it a really wet mash out of chick crumbles, that might help.

The poops looked pretty normal just, large and a bit dry and no white cap.

Maybe some dehydration or bacterial imbalance in her gut

Do you know how to tube feed? If so, you could tube some fluids and I bet that you'd see improvement very quickly. I tube something every day, so for me it's easy. If you're interested, I can teach you.

I've seen her drinking today and I watched her take unassisted poops after I assisted in the first.

She has never had a lack of energy or not been eating or drinking which is why I skipped the dehydration possibility in the beginning.
