I picked up these guys on Saturday, 14 weeks old and are WILD! I noticed about 1/2 after getting them they probably aren't Ameraucanas. One has yellow legs, one is missing a beard and muffs :( hopefully I'll still get nice eggs if any are hens. My husband thinks we got 3 roos! I think we have 2 hens and 1 roo. What do you think? EE? ROOSTERS? HENS?

Honestly, they look like a mix of Production Red or Sex-links. They don't look very EE at all. They are missing the leg color, some muffs and beards and just don't have any EE or Americauna coloring in their feathers. Where did you get these? Since they are in excess of 15 weeks, then you most likely have all Roos. They look way to young to developing such red looking wattles and combs as hens at this stage. Hens at this stage have wattles and combs that are less red and smaller.

Here's some more pics of them. They're coloring looks 'normal' to me based on searches etc. it might be the lighting and lack of flash. I got them from a local farmer friend.

This is my Ameraucana Rooster & hen we got this summer. Not sure exactly their age, they matured here though so were assuming around 6-7 months

If they are production Reds then you have females because the males come out a different color.
Sex links are the ones with different colored males and females. However these birds are neither sex links nor production reds as they have pea combs. They all have different colored legs too. They could be EE mixes and I think all look like cockerels, though it is difficult to tell with the fuzzy pictures. It's not easy to take a picture of a moving target.

Thank you! :) I will try and take better pic this afternoon. What is most important? The comb? Are they too young to check for saddle feathers?

They are definitely not Ameraucanas. They do look like Easter Egger/Production Red mixes, which would mean that they might lay colored eggs, if they were hens. However, I think they're all cockerels.

At 14 weeks, I think they're all cockerels. They all seem to have quite red combs, and three distinct rows. I also agree they look like a mix, possibly with some EE heritage, but egg color is going to be a moot point on those guys.
